Battelle Presents CO₂ Storage and Utilization Program Progress at Annual CCUS Conference

The 13th Annual CCUS Conference in Pittsburgh (April 28 – May1 2014) focuses on carbon capture, separation, utilization and storage technologies that are being or could be deployed in the U.S., North America and in developing economies. This year nearly 350 people attended the conference. Battelle offered a number of presentations and posters that showcased progress being made within the MRCSP region and elsewhere, including the following:
  • Large-Scale CO₂ Injection and Monitoring in a System of Closed Oil-Bearing Reservoirs in the Michigan Basin
  • Post-Injection Site Care Program at the American Electric Power Mountaineer Product Validation Facility
  • MRCSP Development Phase Project Update - Geochemical Monitoring of the Dover 33 Reef
  • Assessing Opportunities for Carbon Dioxide Storage for a Coal-Fired Power Plant in Sichuan Basin, China
  • Simplified Predictive Models of CO₂ Plume Movement in 2-D Layered Formations
  • Geomechanical Test Program for the FutureGen Characterization Well in Morgan County, Illinois
